Antonio Cassano praised Inter and Napoli in Serie A this weekend but did not like Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus.
Milan and Juventus lost points to Atalanta and Sampdoria, respectively, while Inter and Napoli beat Spezia and Monza, respectively, to mark the victory.
What was said?
Speaking on his Instagram page, Cassano first commented on Inter’s 3-0 win over Spezia on Saturday.
“I loved them, but Spezia had a few issues as she was tough. For small teams, things are always complicated at San Siro.
“Lautaro Martinez continues to do very well, but overall Inter knows what they have to do, they know how to act and they are very strong. Inzaghi’s team is a candidate to win Scudetto with Juventus and Milan.
“Inter has alternatives like Correa and Dzeko. Not everyone can afford it.”
Allegri vs Spalletti
He then compared Napoli and Juventus, two teams that looked diametrically opposite this week.
“Spalletti is a genius, unlike Allegri. Napoli has fewer strong players than Juventus and they play them unbelievably. Juventus, which has stronger players, plays carelessly.”
Finally, Cassano praised the new Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratshelia and compared Luciano Spalletti with Allegri.
“He’s a phenomenon, he just arrived in Italy and he’s already going a thousand miles an hour. Lobotka is an outstanding player, but weaker than those at Juve.
“Spalletti makes them perform great. That’s the difference with Allegri shouting to himself. Napoli is a crazy team.”
Allegri received heavy criticism after Juventus’ 0-0 draw with Sampdoria. Juventus failed to produce anything substantial and seemed to have completely lost control of the ball.
